Would Professional Counseling Help Me With My Infertility?
I am in denial, or disbelief, that I am dealing with infertility.
I often imagine or dream that I am pregnant.
I avoid things, people, or experiences that might remind me of my infertility.
I feel extreme anger or deep bitterness that I am dealing with infertility.
I feel empty, or that life is meaningless because I have been dealing with infertility.
I blame myself, or my partner, or both, for my infertility.
I feel numb and disconnected from others because of my infertility.
I have trouble functioning in my daily life because of my infertility.
I can’t find any enjoyment in life because of my infertility.
I need to keep very busy to avoid feeling the pain of my infertility.
I have been irritable with others because of my infertility.
I avoid, or fight with, my partner, family, and/or friends over my infertility.
I am exhausted by everything I am trying to do to get pregnant.
No one can understand how I feel about this.
If I don’t have a baby, I will feel like my life has been a failure.
